Last week, we had a great MWC in Barcelona. The key focus was how 5G enables highly immersive experiences for various industrial and consumer use cases. The work we do with customers on an almost daily basis focuses on building highly scalable, low complexity, and low cost 5G platforms. Thanks to the work done by 3GPP, 5G services and architecture are built as microservices – disaggregated and as cloud-native applications. Container platforms then become key in terms of automated deployments, policy-based workload placement, dynamic scaling, and self-healing – all themes we cover extensively in this blog.
Excited to present a joint demo and solution architecture we have been building with our partner Cloudify.co, Intel, and CapGemini will be showcased during #mwc22 at the AWS Experiential Demos (Atrium CC1) in the “Operations Simplified” area (see details on the image below).
So what is “Operations Simplified” anyway?
It’s taking the most demanding workload that you wouldn’t dream of running on cloud-based infrastructure and running it on cloud infrastructure using common #DevOps best practices that are used to run any enterprise workload. We refer to this as the agile first approach. Just Imagine running continuous deployment on 1000’s clusters, some run on the cloud, some off the cloud, handling partial failure, finding drifts across so many clusters, running continuous discovery, those are only a fraction of the challenges that we had to deal with to meet this goal.
